In my opinion, the painting Table for Two portrays the impact that technology has had on the world in the 21st century. I think the painting is trying to get across the message of the harmful effects that technology can have upon us.
We can see that the couple, or I assume this is a couple, is trying to enjoy an evening dinner date however both are engulfed in other conversations on their cell phones. This increase in technology can drive a wedge between two people and take what was once a romantic date night to a night that is interrupted with calls, text messages, and other people. This is a perfect instance of how technology is changing face to face relationships and why people do not interact in person as often anymore.
I think the older waiter in the background is aware of the new technology craze and judging by the look on his face it would be safe to say he understands the complications technology will bring.

Memorial Day
Although I believe Memorial Day is a great way to honor the men and women who have served our country I have also noticed that the true meaning behind Memorial Day often goes unnoticed to many Americans. Many of us, myself included, spend the Memorial Day long weekend relaxing and enjoying our day off from classes and work and not actually being thankful for the women and men of America who have died while serving in our military. Although I do not necessarily believe it is a bad thing that we spend this time catching up with family and friends, or maybe just relaxing and doing yard work, I do think it is important to spend a couple minutes on Memorial Day really being thankful for all the opportunities we have because of our military servicemen.

My Mt. Rushmore
“My Rushmore”
If I was building Mt. Rushmore today I would have the sculpture portray the faces of my mom, dad, my grandma, and a good friend of mine, James.
I would want my Mt. Rushmore to include the faces of my parents because so much of them are instilled in me. From my morals and beliefs to the way I behave and view the world, they have played an important role in my life. I would also choose my grandma because she is someone who is always trying to do good for others. And lastly I would choose my friend James. James is someone who is always dependable and caring. I think these four people reflect attributes that should be shown in a sculpture for the world to see.
